So, I've been following along with the January Nail Art Challenge (created by +CaliforNAILS ) on Instagram and LOVING it! I always find that the hardest part about sitting down and doing some doodles on my nails, is figuring out what I want to do, so this challenge takes that out of it!
The January Nail Art Challenge for day 19 is "Sweets" (...No, I am not reporting to you from the future - I realize it's the 18th and not the 19th :) But tomorrow I've gotta have some 49er nails, of course!)
The first thing that came to mind as inspiration when I saw the topic "sweets" was KATY PERRY and all of the fun candy & treats themed outfits she wore a couple of years ago after Teenage Dream was released! I am such a fan of Katy's; her music, style, personality ... plus she's from Santa Barbara too, so I mean ... Gotta love her!
To achieve this look I painted 2 coats of Sinful Colors "Sail La Vie" as my blue base. I then took a dotting tool dipped in China Glaze "Dance Baby" and placed dots randomly to create the ice cream. For the cones I used a thin striping brush with Zoya "Jacqueline". Topped it off with my absolute favorite top coat, Seche Vite and BAM there ya go!
